Please note that planetarium shows at the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium are included in the price of admission and that a show will play every hour on the hour during our open hours.

*On Saturdays and Sundays, the last entry of the day will be admitted at 4 PM, which is when the last Irene W. Pennington Planetarium show of the day begins. 

LASM Members receive free general admission, discounted tickets for special events, and reciprocal museum benefits. For more information about membership, click here. 

Active-duty military, first responders, veterans, and up to five of their family members receive free admission year-round as part of the Blue Star Museums Program, generously sponsored by Special Risk Insurance dba VFIS of Miss/Lou, in memory of Lynda K. Vince.

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, 
the Department of Defense, and participating museums across America. For a list of participating 
museums, visit arts.gov/bluestarmuseums. The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military—Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard as well as members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps—and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card for entrance into a participating Blue Star Museum.

The Museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, plus the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Mardi Gras, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, and may be closed on days with inclement weather. ***Your online general admission tickets are valid for one-time admission up to seven days after the purchase date. Please show your e-ticket or receipt at our admission desk upon arrival. Online admission and event sales will incur tax as well as a 3% processing fee which will be applied at checkout.
