*On Saturdays and Sundays, the last entry of the day will be admitted at 4 PM, which is when the last Irene W. Pennington Planetarium show of the day begins. 

**Free admission to the museum, which includes unlimited Irene W. Pennington Planetarium shows, is available every first Sunday of the month!

Active-duty military, first responders, veterans, and their families receive free admission as part of the Blue Star Museums Program, generously sponsored by Special Risk Insurance dba VFIS of Miss/Lou, in memory of Lynda K. Vince. Please check in at our admissions desk with you military or veteran ID upon entry to receive this free admission. 

The Museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, plus the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Mardi Gras, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Please Note: This ticketing page is for general admission to the Louisiana Art & Science Museum and the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium only. Special programs, events, camps, workshops, and other ticketed experiences may require separate admission and are typically sold through a different ticketing link at a different price.

Museum Hours

* Last admission on Saturdays and Sundays is at 4:00 PM, when the final planetarium show of the day begins.

Admission & Ticket Information

• Online general admission tickets are valid for one-time use within seven days of purchase.
• Please present your e-ticket or receipt at the admissions desk upon arrival.
• Online ticket purchases include applicable tax and a 3% processing fee applied at checkout.

First Sunday Admission

Enjoy free museum admission and discounted $5 unlimited planetarium shows every first Sunday of the month.

Blue Star Museums Program

Active-duty military personnel, veterans, first responders, and up to five family members receive free admission year-round through the Blue Star Museums Program, generously sponsored by Special Risk Insurance dba VFIS of Miss/Lou.
