Join the Louisiana Art & Science Museum for our Studio Saturday series, taking place every third Saturday of the month. Join Beth Welch from 10:00 AM–12:30 PM for a Studio Saturday inspired by Reflections: The Art of George Rodrigue. Get inspired by the beauty of South Louisiana and George Rodrigue’s Cajun landscape painting series. We’ll begin with a guided tour of the gallery before exploring how Rodrigue captured the character, color, and atmosphere of Louisiana through his paintings.

Participants of all ages will learn the fundamentals of landscape painting, including composition, perspective, and color, while creating their own original Cajun landscape inspired by Rodrigue’s series. Bring a favorite photo of a Louisiana landscape for inspiration, or let your imagination take you into the bayou. All supplies are included.
